To celebrate MidWestOne Bank’s 90th anniversary, I led the creative direction for a cross-channel campaign honoring our long-standing community roots and showcasing how our values continue to guide us today. The campaign built awareness leading up to our milestone events through cohesive creative, storytelling, and community engagement.

I collaborated with Liz Pangerl to develop a theme graphic that visually captured the spirit of MidWestOne’s 90th year. The linework forming the “90” evokes movement and momentum—symbolizing our continuous growth—while the zero becomes both a portal to the past and a spotlight on the future, reflecting how our heritage continues to guide our progress.

I collaborated with the Cedar Rapids Gazette to produce a 90th Anniversary Sunday insert, gathering archival photos, milestones, and data to build the timeline on pages 4–5. Working with their design team, I guided layout and brand alignment to ensure a consistent and authentic presentation of our story.

Community Day
A key part of the 90th Anniversary Campaign was demonstrating that our commitment to community is just as strong today as it was 90 years ago. To bring that message to life, we launched our first annual Community Day—a company-wide volunteer initiative where employees closed branches early to spend the afternoon serving local organizations.
I supported the effort by collaborating with Liz Pangerl to design volunteer T-shirts, branch signage, buck slips, and digital lobby screens to inform customers about the early closure and reinforce our community message.

To celebrate our official 90th anniversary, we hosted a coordinated Customer Appreciation Open House across all 57 branches. Each branch manager received a budget and direction to plan their own celebration, giving every location the freedom to connect personally with their customers while aligning with our established anniversary branding.
I provided the supporting materials—including branded table signage, treat toppers, and loose décor guidance—to create a warm, consistent experience across markets. This final event brought our 90th Anniversary Campaign full circle, reinforcing our appreciation for the customers and communities who’ve shaped MidWestOne’s story for nine decades.
